john clinton demaris is here! he was born june 20th at 6:01 pm. 8 lbs. 11oz., & 20 1/4 inches. we did a home birth for the first time, and it went perfectly! labor time was only 5 hours and everything went smoothly! we love our new addition, and we are excited to have a boy around the house! the girls can't keep their hands off him, poor guy...he is perfect and couldn't be more loved!

I would love to hear more about the home birth. I will admit, I always thought home births were for hippies, and then I actually learned a little about them and have totally changed my tune. Last December I watched The Business of Being Born, and then shortly after met a midwife and talked her head off. I am so fascinated and interested to hear about it from someone I actually know who's done it. If you feel up to it, you should totally write about your experience and how you came to make that decision.
